Landau, Zisho

(1889-1937)
   American Yiddish poet, of Polish origin. He settled in New York, where he published an Anthology of Yiddish Poetry in America Until 1919. Deeply affected by Jewish suffering during World War I, he reverted to Jewish themes in his later poetry.
